Power

Its amazing how easy life seems when your blind. When you don't truly realize what's going on. Innocently ignorant to the horrors of life. But its different being blind when something goes wrong in your own situation, being ignorant to your own power, until your forced to use it...

Have you noticed in super hero movies, the hero usually never has any problems until they've acknowledged their power? Like all of a sudden every evil that could go against that power surfaces? Its usually because once you've realized this power, it has to be tested, your faith in yourself has to be tested. We all have a kryptonite and an antidote. Sometimes we have to fall victim to weakness to discover our powers.

Well what happens when we've made ourselves the enemy?  How can you fight a battle when you're YOUR own enemy? Feeding yourself negative thoughts usually results in sadness, bitterness and helplessness. When times seemed vague while I was at my sickest, I would literally look in the mirror and ask myself, what was the point of living, the point of trying? Speaking those words started a battle within the universe. Words mean more than we realize; our words and our thoughts are our power. When I ended up in the hospital shortly after that, I realized what the point was. My point was wanting to live, to TRY.

Its like I created my own world of weakness and sadness and I was the only person that could save myself from it. Whenever I would find myself having a lupus flare, I always find a way to blame myself... Giving myself excuses on why I may have "deserved" this life. But that was because I was ignorant to my situation, to my power. I hadn't realized that the power lies within me despite the situation. Realizing that life wasn't just picking on me, we all go through things, but the power is within our mindset to grow through it too. Whatever you think of yourself is what you'll be, what you invest your time and energy into is what our lives will reflect. We are what we think. I am beautifully made. I am successful. I am ME. Even in the darkest places, we have to shine our light from within to guide us when we get lost in life's situations.

I noticed the change in my life when I changed my mindset about my situation. I had to think to be strong, to survive, to be Happy. Our mind is our Power.
